Headaches and Migraines are a very common issue and more commonly associated with chronic amounts of long term sitting.  A few simple tips to stopping these headaches and migraines can sometimes help to prevent and or alleviate the onset of one.

Rule 1:

Never sit for more than 45 minutes without getting up and moving.

Rule 2:

Stretch the posterior neck muscles with a simple chin to chest stretch without arching the back and a lateral ear to shoulder stretch.

Rule 3:

Sit with 90 degrees, 90 degree bend at the elbows, the waist, the knees, and the ankles.  Chair height to the desk height ratio should cause the angles to neither be more or less than 90 degrees to keep proper blood flow and reduce pressure of the heart.
